GHANA POLICE GETS ADDITIONAL VEHICLES

The Government of Ghana has presented 109 vehicles to the Ghana Police Service, as part of measures to equip security agencies with much needed logistics and resources to effectively and efficiently discharge their duties.

Presenting the vehicles to the Police High Command on Thursday 6th June, 2019 at the Police Headquarters, in Accra, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana – Dr Mahamudu Bawumia said that, in all, the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has provided 481 vehicles to the Ghana Police Service alone, since it assumed office in 2017.

The Veep added that the State will continue to assist the Police by providing the essential support the Service needs, in order to protect citizens and non-citizens living in Ghana.

The vehicles presented comprised of 16 buses, 5 towing trucks, 4 water tanks, 50 Toyota Hilux Pickups, 5 Ambulances, 10 Toyota LandCruiser V8s and 19 Toyota Troopers.
